PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN

REPITITION: I WAS ABLE TO PULL COLORS FROM THE PAINT ON THE BOYS HANDS TO CREATE COLORS FOR MY TEXT AS WELL AS THE GREEN CIRCLE IN THE TOP CORNER.

BALANCE: THE COLORS FROM THE PAINTED HANDS, THE CRCLE, AND THE TEXT CREATE A COLOR BALANCE THROUGHOUT THE GRAPHIC.

MASK: A MASK WAS USED TO PULL THE CHILD FROM HIS ORIGIONAL BACKGROUND.

TEXT TOOL: WAS USED TO CREATE ALL THE TEXT FOR THE FLYER. I ALSO WAS ABLE TO ADD A DROP SHADOW TO THE TEXT THAT I FEEL ADDED A LOT.

FINAL EXHIBIT

FOR THIS EXHIBIT I USED THIS PICTURE OF THIS LITTLE BOY WITH PAINT ALL OVER HIS HANDS. WHEN I SAW THIS PICTURE I WAS INSTANTLY DRAWN TO IT SO I DECIDED TO MAKE A SUMMER ARE CAMP TEMPLATE/POSTER. THE FIRST THING I DID WAS REMOVE THE BOY FROM HIS BACKGROUND USING CHANNELS. I THEN ADDED HIM TO A LIGHT PINK BACKGROUND AND ADDED SOME PRICING A DATE INFO.

EXHIBIT REVISION

For my revised exhibit I decided to take all of my text and right align all of it with the 'Summer art camp' text. I also took the 'learn. inspire. create' and added a dot instead of a dash and I'm really happy with how that looks. I also increased the size of that same text. I was given some advised that the drop shadow made the text hard to read but I really like it so I chose to keep it I just changes the opacity a little bit. I was also able to use the refine brush to fix up parts of the hair on the painted boy. It was a little bit tricky. It is still not perfect but I am much happier with the result. I was given a lot of really great feed back that helped me to create a stronger design.
