What is the ALL Learning Incentive Fund for Teachers?

The ALL Learning Incentive Fund for Teachers (LIFT) is a yearly scholarship program for ALL-SIG members to cover expenses for select courses related to upskilling in accessibility matters.

How many slots are available each year?

For its inaugural year in 2024, three slots are available for this cohort.

Who is eligible to apply for the LIFT scholarship? 

Financial members of the JALT Accessibility in Language Learning (ALL) Special Interest Group are eligible to apply.

What will the scholarship cover?

The financial assistance will cover the registration cost of completing short-term courses pre-identified by the ALL SIG.

What courses are available? 

As of Academic Year 2024, the available courses are: 

• Disability Inclusion in Education: Building Systems of Support
  Offered by The University of Cape Town
  
  

• Universal Design for Learning Mindset: Credential 1
  Offered by the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST)
  
  

• Universal Design for Learning Analysis: Credential 2
  Offered by the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) 

What other benefits will LIFT recipients enjoy?

LIFT recipients will have opportunities to share what they learned through articles published in the ALL Review, the ALL-SIG’s official newsletter, or be the primary speaker in an ALL-SIG Forum.

How do interested ALL-SIG members apply for the scholarship?  Interested members of the ALL-SIG must complete the designated application form which will be available from August 1st, 2024 (Thursday).
