Perry Park is a decent-sized park in North Redondo Beach with plenty of amenities for everyone. This park is perfect for big and small kids. There are multiple playground structures, a baseball field, basketball courts, a community senior center, a teen center, restrooms, and plenty of parking. There is ample space for picnics on the grass and on many benches in the shade and sun! Providing the shade are big trees perfect for climbing up or leaning on as you read your book. The trees are high enough not to block your visual perception, ensuring safe play throughout the playground. Throughout 2023, Perry Park has undergone some major revamping, making the park more accessible and inclusive. The sand has been changed to a solid rubber surface to provide accessibility for wheelchairs and strollers. Pickleball courts and a skatepark have been added to make this park inclusive for all ages.
Perry Park recently added two new playgrounds: one for ages 2-5 and the other for ages 5-12. The playgrounds have climbing equipment.
Multiple types of swings including this large adaptive swing. Plenty of space for wheelchair movement and the swing itself provides good 90/90 support.
There is plenty of parking near the neighborhood sides of the park. This includes parking spots right next to the curb ramp and senior center for easy access to the public restroom.
Stand-up playground spinners help increase spatial awareness. Spinning games require a child to use their balance and hand-eye motor skills.
There are plenty of benches in and out of the sun. Look out for the ASL posters set up throughout the grassy area!
Tactile and sensory panels set up throughout the play structures. Some provide noise while others work on fine motor skills.
Catty corner to Redondo Beach Fire Dept. They are always welcoming visitors of all ages to come see the firetrucks!
Pickleball, basketball, and skate parks are all wheelchair accessible in the park, with ramps at two of three entrances.
Here is a checklist approved by the Americans with Disability Act that covers what Perry Park does and does not have.
