Zhongshan Junior High School: No. 7 號, Lane 361, Fuxing N Rd, Songshan District, Taipei City, 105
Volunteer Period: Saturday, July 5th - Thursday, July 31st
The English Teaching Volunteer Service Program for Overseas Youth is a selective international service initiative aimed at supporting English education in rural communities. During the program, I collaborated with a team of volunteers to design and deliver engaging, culturally responsive English lessons to elementary school students with varying proficiency levels. For our school, we were assigned Zhongshan Junior High School in New Taipei City. I adapted teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, incorporating visual aids, interactive games, and creative activities to enhance comprehension and participation. Through this immersive experience, I strengthened my skills in cross-cultural communication, public speaking, lesson planning, and classroom management, while deepening my understanding of educational equity and the role of language learning in global opportunity access.
