I started my PhD program in January 2021 at Concordia University under the supervision of Dr. Grant Brown. Climate change introduces multiple environmental stressors that can interact, leading to significant effects on organisms, particularly their behaviors. My research focuses on understanding the impact of multiple stressors on predator-prey communities.
I study prey and predator behaviors in environments affected by increased temperature, turbidity, and acidification. My four main objectives are to assess how multiple environmental stressors impact:
Learning processes in prey.
Responses to cues in prey and predators.
Both prey and predators simultaneously.
Prey behaviors in Trinidadian wild streams.
To ensure that my results are reliable and applicable, I combine laboratory experiments with field observations in Trinidad.
