Field work
Each year since 2022, my lab mates and I have been observing guppies in natural streams in Trinidad.
Teaching assistant and lectures
I am a teaching assistant at Concordia University. I have been a teaching assistant for General Biology, Introductory Biology, Evolution, Behavioral Ecology, and Fundamental Nutrition.
I have also given several guest lectures in biology courses.
Master's project
From January to June 2020, I participated in a research project at INRAE (the French National Institute for Agronomic and Environmental Research) as both a master’s student and a research assistant. My work focused on the behavioral determinants of host preference in plant-specialized populations of the pea aphid, aiming to identify which senses these insects primarily use to locate and select their host plants. This research was conducted with the goal of developing alternative pest management strategies to reduce the use of pesticides
Master volunteering
In May 2019, I volunteered with a team of students on a project aimed at the passive restoration of an abandoned poplar grove in Brittany, France. We contributed during the first year of this 20-year research project, which focuses on tracking the progression of plant and animal species in the restored grove.
Master's project
From September 2018 to February 2019, as a master’s student and research assistant, I participated in a research project at Lund University (Lund, Sweden). My research focused on how dogs use their rhinarium to detect weak thermal radiation to locate prey.
