Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist # 27971
Thanks for taking time to learn about me. I hope it’s helpful in your search to find the right fit when looking for a practitioner.
My goal is to support an experience that prioritizes time, space, and energy for each client’s needs. I am a trauma informed provider with a focus in women's health and working with caregivers. I have over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of health, wellness, and education and bring the wealth of knowledge I've gained into my work each day.
My therapeutic style is gentle and effective, with healing intention for the whole individual. Being an Integrated Health Practitioner means a lot to me and is grounded in a foundation of professional bodywork combined with the knowledge and application of healthy nervous system supports.
I specialize in Swedish Massage, with a focus in nervous system regulation, acute pain relief, and therapeutic relaxation. My style also incorporates expertise in Cupping, Acupressure, Reflexology, Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial and Trigger Point Therapy and palpitation and functional assessment.
Energy Work is another passion of mine and I'm excited to use the methods of Jin Shin Jyutsu and Reiki into my work. I have designed a unique treatment called VIBE-- Vital Integrated Body & Energy Work --that combines innovative methods in integrated healing. (See Services Page for more details!)
In addition to Massage and Body Work, I specialize in Guided Meditation and Breath Work practices. I have a background in therapeutic skills training and hold a Master’s Degree in Education (M. Ed.) and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (B.A.)
I also lead Mindfulness Groups that feature Self-Acupressure exercises. If you'd like to join a wait list for a scheduled event or if you’re interested in hiring me for a group gathering, send an email for more details.
Outside of my work, I enjoy being a mom and volunteering in the community. I love to spend time with my friends and family, go for walks, and relax with a good book. Recently I've been combining two of my favorite interests, gardening and natural remedies, by making herb infused balms and tinctures from my own plants.
Just as Deepak Chopra talks about the interconnectedness of our mind and body, I carry the importance of this value in my personal life and professional role. Wellness for the whole self is my intention and my clients can expect to be honored in this way. I welcome you to reach out with questions or book a session if interested. I look forward to meeting you and to the healing work ahead.
Warmly,
Ali
