Welcome!

I am a dedicated research engineer in Internet security at Austria's ccTLD, nic.at. My job involves developing services aimed at identifying malicious/suspicious domains in Austria, as well as detecting possible attacks or malicious traffic.

In 2023, I proudly earned my Ph.D. from Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (AAU). This significant milestone marks the culmination of my academic journey, which commenced with the completion of a B.Sc. in computer engineering in 2009, followed by an M.Sc. in 2017. My PhD dissertation focuses on optimizing video streaming and low latency live video streaming by employing In-Network intelligence paradigms like Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and 5G networks. In particular, I work with  Prof. Hermann Hellwagner and Prof. Christian Timmerer on "Optimizing QoE and Latency of Live Video Streaming Using Edge Computing and In-Network Intelligence."

Originally from Mashhad, Iran, I received a B.Sc. in computer engineering in 2007. Then I went to the industry and honed my teamwork, leadership, programming, and networking skills by working for many years in various companies. After that, I backed to the academy and got a Master's of computer engineering in 2017. During my master's, I broadened my knowledge in video streaming. I pursued it by applying for a Ph.D. position in the Information Technology (ITEC) department at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, Austria.
