After completing pharmacy school in India, Sirisha Nekkanti embarked on her journey to the United States, initially gaining experience as an intern in a small practice. Subsequently, she dedicated 13 years of her professional career to Walgreens, where she served as a pharmacist, contributing to the healthcare needs of the community. Building on her expertise, she transitioned into a role as a pharmacy and store manager for the following four years, overseeing operations and ensuring the delivery of quality pharmaceutical services. Currently, she brings her extensive background to a unique setting, working for the state of North Carolina as a pharmacist who provides essential prescription services to inmates, contributing to the healthcare system in a distinctive and impactful way.
