Aligned Body Therapy was born from my own experience of pain, restriction and recovery.
After a car accident, I began living with pain throughout my body. Movement became difficult, and I no longer felt comfortable or at ease within myself. Ordinary activities started to feel uncertain, and I became afraid that moving in the wrong way might cause another injury or make the pain worse.
The effects extended far beyond my physical body. Pain influenced my sleep, my energy, my confidence, my emotional wellbeing and the way I participated in everyday life. When your body no longer feels like a safe place, it can affect everything your work, your relationships, your independence and even the way you see your future.
I know what it feels like to wake up already hurting, to avoid activities you once enjoyed and to feel disconnected from both your body and yourself.
My healing journey began with massage therapy. Through touch, I discovered that the body could soften, release and gradually begin to feel safe again.
But I wanted to understand more. I wanted to know why the body holds tension, why pain sometimes remains even after an injury has healed and how our physical and emotional experiences can influence one another.
This curiosity led me to kinesiology and then to myofascial release, cranial therapy, nervous-system regulation and other complementary approaches. Each discipline offered another piece of the puzzle and helped me see the body not as a collection of separate parts, but as an intelligent, interconnected whole.
Over time, I began to move with greater ease. I rediscovered the pleasure of doing things without constantly anticipating pain or fearing that I might hurt myself again. I experienced the simple but profound joy of sleeping deeply, waking up feeling rested and starting the day without pain controlling my first thoughts.
During this journey, God found me.
My faith transformed the way I understood both healing and purpose. I began to feel that everything I had experienced was guiding me toward a path where my pain could become a source of understanding, compassion and service.
The care, knowledge and support that helped me reconnect with my own body inspired me to offer that same possibility to others. I felt called to help people feel heard, supported and safe as they find their own way back to movement and wellbeing.
My desire to understand the human body more deeply eventually led me to osteopathy, which I am currently studying.
Osteopathy allows me to continue developing my clinical knowledge while bringing together the many approaches I have studied throughout my journey. Rather than following the same treatment for every person, I draw from therapeutic massage, myofascial release, cranial therapy, kinesiology, movement and nervous-system support to respond to the individual in front of me.
This integrated approach has allowed me to witness meaningful changes in my clients not only in how their bodies feel, but in what they feel able to do again.
Aligned Body Therapy exists because I believe that feeling better in your body can change the way you experience your entire life.
My purpose is not simply to work on a painful area. It is to help you understand your body, feel safer within it and gradually rediscover greater comfort, confidence and freedom of movement.
Because movement is never only about movement.
It is about being able to walk your dog, play with your grandchildren, travel, work, rest, exercise and spend meaningful time with the people you love without pain or fear constantly deciding what is possible.
I was helped to find my way back to my body. Now, through Aligned Body Therapy, it is my privilege to help others begin finding their way back to theirs.
"Move freely. Live fully. Feel at home in your body."
