Your first session begins with a conversation about what you are experiencing, your health history and what you would like to improve. We may also explore your posture and movement before beginning treatment. Your session is then adapted to what your body needs that day. This session is longer than the following one.
You do not need to know exactly which technique you need. Simply book a session and tell me what you are experiencing. I will draw from therapeutic bodywork, myofascial release, cranial therapy, movement and nervous-system support to create a personalised approach.
This depends on the treatment and your comfort level. Many myofascial, cranial and movement techniques can be performed while you remain clothed. For massage treatments, professional draping is always used. Your comfort, privacy and consent remain the priority throughout the session, so if you are not comfortable undress you can stay dress.
Myofascial release uses slow, sustained pressure and movement to work with the fascia the connective tissue surrounding muscles and other structures. It may help reduce feelings of restriction and support more comfortable, fluid movement. You can watch this video on Youtube for better understanding before coming : https://youtu.be/v54l3wDTJHg?si=xD8Tiq84qtq3PNHD
Cranial therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach involving subtle contact around the head, neck and body. It is designed to encourage relaxation, reduce tension and support a greater sense of ease within the nervous system.
Treatment should never feel forceful or unsafe. Some areas may feel tender or intense, but we will communicate throughout the session and adjust the pressure whenever necessary. You are always in control and can ask me to pause or change a technique at any time.
People often seek bodywork for muscular tension, stiffness, restricted movement, stress or difficulty feeling comfortable in their bodies. Treatment is personalised and does not replace medical diagnosis or care.
Wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows you to move easily. Activewear, leggings, loose trousers and a T-shirt are all suitable. If your appointment includes massage, you will be given privacy to change and will remain professionally draped.
Bodywork can be adapted for many people, but it may not be appropriate in certain circumstances. Please let me know about injuries, recent surgery, pregnancy, medical conditions, medications or changes in your health before treatment. If necessary, I may recommend seeking advice from your doctor or another healthcare professional first.
You may feel relaxed, lighter or more aware of your body. Temporary tenderness or tiredness can sometimes occur as your body responds to treatment. Gentle movement, rest and hydration may feel supportive afterward. Please contact me if you experience anything unexpected or concerning.
Every person and body responds differently. Some clients notice a change after one session, while others benefit from several sessions over time. After your initial appointment, we can discuss an approach based on your needs, response and goals without pressure or unnecessary treatment plans.
