My Story

My Aspiration Story

I will start my story with “Giving is Saving”. I explain this in 3 types of giving in my life.

Firstly, giving in time to Allah (I am a Muslim), family matter and academic. These 3 are always in my priority. This will be my guideline whenever I want to put hope, dream and pursue on something. This because I always feel safe and everything will be positive in any what happens. If something bad happen due to that choices, it will have wisdom in the future. Yes I believe in giving time for all of it will save me from the right journey.

Next will be giving knowledge to the circle and community. Whenever I learn something new I tend to share to others in any simple way. Because I know how difficult for me to get it, and I would not let others to get into that difficulty, as per say don’t be in my shoes. I love to talk to strangers by academic way. Example, whenever I want to explain about tips or “how to” I will do it in Acronyms. This will help us to save our knowledge to ourselves and others really well.

Last is Giving out some our blessing to others. Or we called it “rezeki” or “sedekah”. This is a method of saving money while helping others. I believe in this because, whenever I feel in trouble, low financial and etc, I will give some of my money to friends or parents. This way we will feel really grateful and feel the fulfillness of life.

I believe that Giving is Saving will be my long last motto in life. Life is short, but sharing would not stop even until we die. I hope I can learn many things throughout this life to share to others and I am dream to be a successful Talent Specialist Trainer or counsellor.

Academic achievement

In academic I always focusing on objective. We learn throughout syllabus but we have to know that we need 3 E’s in learning. First is Education, we need knowledge to make planning, progress and decision. Without education we are will have high tendency to be taken for granted in the life. People will look down to you. Next will be the exposure or experience. We need to expose ourselves to real life industry, we need to know how the factory work, and we need to know how the Human resource team choose the correct employer. With experiencing ourselves in the chosen sector, we will know how to tackle it better in exams, interview and also project. Lastly is engagement. In learning we need two ways communication either home-schooling, online learning or conventional. We need to engage ourselves to ask question, make presentations and speak casually about academics with other people. This will help our community to have a better way of mindset.

In terms of my academic contribution, I always focus on commitment, contribution and creativity. Here are my few contribution for university and community using my academic qualification. As a student from an engineering programme, I have prepare myself with various skills that suit my dreams and passion. For example, I was the main technician for University Drone Team for 2 years. This shows that I have excellent tool maintenance and operation in current technology. For your information, I have done my internship in Leonardo Helicopter, where this company is related to the field of my study in which already test my knowledge and develop the skills needed to be improve by myself at a professional level with efficiency and effectiveness. During my internship I am being selected to be the leader for my batch as a leader for their daily and weekly reports.

Also, I believe that I am a fast learner. This because when I was in the University Drone Team I have been given one month to design and prepare for our gear to compete in the inter-university competition. I managed to set our drone at the best performance after going through many software classes. During my foundation studies, I also was the Champion for Battle Programming contest where I develop my own Student Portal in one week. I also have participate in many Hackathon and Business Challenge using my critical thinking skills to help out the industry during CoVid-19 Pandemic.

overcoming the odds

Every challenge came differently towards their prospects. As for me I get a challenge between myself and my schools also university.

The first situation happen during my primary school, that time I was only 12 years old. I have a financial issue due to a drop in my parent income. We didn’t manage to pay for the monthly fees at the tuition centre. One day, which is one month before our Primary School Standard Exam for all Malaysian students at that level, we called it UPSR. I being chased out from my tuition centre, in front of other 20 students. I was shocked and waited outside of the centre, cry heavily. I was send back to my home by my friend’s mother. I told my parent, but I could not see their face because I am afraid. I know they feel guilty on not giving me the best education I should get. The next day, I put on my new spirit by thinking that I should be brave and learn independently. Yes, I start to study alone at home and ask my father on any matters regarding study. I managed to beat the exam with flying colours and become the top 15 in that school and get offer to a boarding school.

Next story, is started since 2019, during my 2nd year of degree. I having issued on financial and graduation timeline. My university does not exposing us much on what we should do on the next semester. All of my friends are “go with the flow” but I have a further view. I saw that time that I have to start finding place to pursue my pilot license which is required to be done to get the degree. In February 2020, the faculty start to come out with unreasonable notice which come with over budget fees. So everyone was shocked, some have deferred their semester. But for me, this cannot be right. There must be something that I can do. Therefore, I started to write letter and email to any authorized organization in Malaysia regarding education. I asked some expertise on this matters. After 2 months back and forth going to many state and company. I managed to get release letter to pay the unreasonable fees and find some place to pursue my license in a very cheap college.

Determination and Courage help me to believe in myself. The trust from our circle really help us to gain conviction as the spokesperson.

impact on peers

During my secondary school, I was the Peer Guidance Council. Our task is to help the counsellor to motivate students who have problem with their study and life such as below par academic, low self-esteem and etc. By the time I enter university life I continued my skill in this path. I started to give motivation to my circle, consultation and some free advice. How do I have their trust? I inspired them by being active in campus, sports and organization. With all these I still manage to maintain good academic result.

In 2020, I managed to be the Campus Coordinator under HP and Monsta Asia. This help me to having a platform to inspire others. I give out free consultation from college to college. I also loved to help other students who raise some petition for student’s right. The latest Petition is on Bukit Nanas School which need to be closed down but with the community help they are reopening it. My faculty also always make such campaign and program like, mentoring program and I always tend to raise hand to be the mentor. I am really happy to give out free lesson to others.

creativity and innovation

As per say, I have join a lot of development programs. In 2017, I am the Champion of Battle Programming in My Foundation. My Team managed to build a student portal with a 35,000 lines of coding by using C++ Language. In 2018, I was selected as Drone Technician and need to build a drone race for my University Team which I manage to complete it by 1 month. I learn the fundamental in that 1 month. We manage to won 1st Runner Up in the competition and also become the champion in 2019.

In 2020, I started to actively participating the Hackathon and Business Challenge. I have develop many ideas throughout those competition. In July 2020, I proposed a Klook Space a diversify platform of co-working space and hotel which to increase the occupancy rates in hotel during pandemic. In October 2020, my team proposed an idea to make a drive thru apps of grocery and changing the store into automation store. We called it Celcommerce combining ecommerce and Celcom (Telco Industry). Next in December 2020, my team give out ideas of MyFrip. Digitalization of ecotourism park by using User Experience, User Interface and User Gamification method in the idea. Currently, I have a team in proposing of recycling a plastic into a 3D printing filament which to give out value to waste and increase the market for 3D printing industry

fostering global citizens

I have join few program to discuss and doing research on global problems. I have participated as one of the delegates in UNESCO Club Conference where we focusing on Poverty Topic and I am representative for Cambodia Country. I managed to place as the Top 5 best speakers in that conference.

Next, I am the participant for Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Conference (SDG). I won the best position paper where I write about the quality of education. Here are some of my writing or proposal idea.

Throughout being resilience in education sector, few initiatives have been done by the Nation. However, we also have to take into consideration regarding the issue that will need to be encounter efficiently. Therefore, I proposed some solutions in the state of ABCD acronym.

A- Adaptable Syllabus: Aligning to what have been said by Dr. Qian Tang, Assistant Director General for Education from UNESCO “Education programs must be adaptable to the various needs of the learners rather than expecting learners to fit in with a prescribed syllabus, uniform pedagogical style or system.” This is particularly important when dealing with marginalized and vulnerable children.

B- B- Beneficial to Others: With that in mind, here’s a radical proposal, rather than hitting the books when you want to understand a concept, you should hit your blog and try to explain it clearly to others. The idea is simple, Albert Einstein has said “if you cannot teach a topic to someone else, then you truly don’t get it yourself”.

C- C- Critical Thinking and Creativity: This could overcome the plagiarism and readiness issue. Sequence the assignment to monitor the practicality of the student own method. When learning online, students come across far more complex challenges that require novel solutions often concerning technology and information. Critical thinking skills involve identifying flaws in people’s arguments or reasoning by weighing evidence and identifying misuse of information.

D- D- Developing Self Evaluation and Added Value: The perceptions of value change as the learning experience unfolds. Because of the evolving and interdependent nature of the online learning process, some of the dimensions of CV at this era differ from those that emerged at the previous era.
