My Major Project in my final year of college was a reimagining of The Frog Prince, where an evil witch entombs the Frog in stone to prevent the princess from breaking the curse. The story unfolds through three frog props rather than animation or live action.
The Stone Frog: A monumental stone frog, hiding silicone beneath the surface but showing no hint of life.
As the princess chips away the stone, glimpses of silicone appear, with minimal movement just a subtle vocal sac ribbit movement to suggest hidden life.
The Unveiling: The stone shell is gone, revealing silicone in full with the rock slightly attached at the feet. The frog only moves slightly, limited to small ribbit gestures, emphasizing fragile awakening rather than full animation.
The sequence creates a tactile, visual narrative where physical metamorphosis and minimal motion hint at life emerging from stasis.
