Wyoming Plant Painting

Based on a photograph taken during a trip to Wyoming, this painting was my first major assignment after returning to painting. Using optical color mixing, I carefully built up layers without blending directly on the canvas, which challenged my color accuracy and patience. The piece took approximately 16 hours to complete and became a turning point in my confidence as a painter. It remains one of my strongest and most rewarding works.
