Designing and building a 6-DOF/omnidirectional drone, and investigating a dynamic emulation method in order to emulate spacecraft dynamics with different mass/inertia on the drone.
The Iris CubeSat project (former ManitobaSat-1) is a collaboration between the STARLab, the University of Winnipeg C-TAPE Lab, York University, and the Interlake School Division. The Iris CubeSat will expose the geological samples to the space environment in a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to study how samples change their optical characteristics after exposure to space radiation.
As a project for the space system engineering course, we delivered Preliminary Design Review (PDR) of a CubeSat project (a constellation of CubeSats) to a team of space systems engineers and managers at Magellan Aerospace. In this project, I was the CDH, flight software and payload lead. I designed CDH and flight software and introduced their plan for phase B.
As a project for the spacecraft dynamics and control course, I reviewed and designed a sliding mode control for a spacecraft attitude-tracking scenario.
