I am a PhD Student in the Vehicle Autonomy and Intelligence Lab (VAIL) at Indiana University Bloomington, working under the guidance of Professor Lantao Liu.
My research is concentrated on the domain of autonomous navigation, with a specific emphasis on off-road navigation within highly unstructured environments such as forests and caves. In pursuit of an innovative approach to autonomous navigation, I am investigating a novel paradigm that integrates perception, mapping, and control through a unified formulation based on Gaussian processes.
Before I joined VAIL, I was working as a robotics software engineer in the Cognitive Robotics department in TUDelft, The Netherlands. I was managing the daily activities of the RobotUnion project (Part of the EU Horizon 2020 program) and developing ROS-based software components for the participating robotics start-ups.
