Add, subtract, and multiply polynomials and recognize that the result of the operation is also a polynomial. This forms a system analogous to the integers. This standard is a fluency recommendation. Fluency in adding, subtracting and multiplying polynomials supports students throughout their work in algebra, as well as in their symbolic work with functions.
