Diversity

As an international student, I experienced the importance of diversity on an American college campus first hand. Students and faculty exchange different ideas, distant cultures meet, and interactions lead to learning experiences.

I've had the honor to work with colleagues from many different countries, socioeconomic levels, religions, and convictions.

I have taught students from all walks of life, races, and experiences. Each student brings something different from their background. It is important for me to make my teaching and examples relatable to everyone in the classroom. When meeting with students, I make sure that they are comfortable and feel welcomed, no matter what their race, gender identity, or age is.

UM's Oxford campus is a vibrant community, and I hope that my future place of employment is just as exciting to work in, with lots of interesting people to meet, teach, and learn from.
