From my experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, and Bing Image AI, I believe that AI is a valuable support tool in architecture and house design. It helps me learn more efficiently, explore creative ideas, and visualise concepts more clearly, especially in areas such as sustainable tropical architecture and residential design.
However, I also believe that AI should not be completely relied upon. Although it is effective in generating information and visual concepts, it cannot fully understand human emotions, cultural values, or the social aspects of design. These elements are essential in architecture, particularly when creating comfortable, meaningful, and liveable homes.
Therefore, my position is that AI should be used as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for human creativity and professional judgement. It works best when combined with critical thinking, architectural knowledge, and personal design skills to create realistic and functional house designs.
