My name is Alexey Rakov, and I am a Senior Researcher at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology (CRIE) specializing in molecular epidemiology, bioinformatics, and genomics.
I was born and raised in a country town in Russia, but through perseverance and curiosity, I have gradually built my career. Throughout my career, I have driven high-impact research across international institutions in Russia, USA, and China. Thriving in diverse, multicultural environments, I have developed a strong track record of collaborative science and am fully accustomed to seamless professional mobility. Now, driven by a passion for what I do, I am eager to transition from academia to industry. I believe it’s essential to pursue what truly interests you and to create the conditions that allow you to excel in your field.
