Hi, I’m Alex Calvo, a passionate Game Designer from Barcelona with over seven years of experience creating engaging gameplay systems and player-focused experiences. I’ve had the chance of working on both original titles and globally recognized IPs, contributing to projects across mobile, PC and console
Most recently, I worked at Scopely, where I designed and iterated on live features for Stumble Guys, a massive multiplayer party game enjoyed by millions worldwide. I helped shape core systems, live operations, and progression loops that boosted player engagement and retention, collaborating daily with teams across Product, Engineering, and Art. Before that, I spent several years at Petoons Studio, where I grew from QA Tester to Senior Game Designer, leading features and systems for family-friendly titles such as Curse of the Sea Rats, Peppa Pig: World Adventures, Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion, and Monster High: Skulltimate Secrets. Along the way, I mentored junior designers and made sure gameplay, documentation, and production standards remained consistent across projects.
I hold a degree in Interactive Digital Content from ENTI (Barcelona University), and I’m constantly learning—whether it’s new design methodologies, prototyping tools, or player engagement strategies. Beyond design, I value teamwork, creative problem-solving, and mentoring. I’m fluent in English, Spanish, and Catalan, I’m always open to connecting with other passionate creators who share the goal of building memorable experiences.
