I am a social psychologist, interested in the intersection of culture, ecology, and religion. My research investigates how ecological conditions shape cultural expectations about how people should relate to and support one another using experiments, archival data, and large language models. I am currently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Michigan in the Emotion and Self-Control Lab, where my work focuses on the role of culture in well-being and emotion regulation. Outside of the lab, I build miniature furniture and organize my bookshelf.
