About

I hold a PhD in Sociology from the University of Toronto where I produced work at the intersections of health, gender and culture. I also completed my Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Sociology at the University of Toronto.

Currently I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Guelph, working on the Gender Equity and Excellence through Leadership initiative, conducting research on how to increase gender equity for students, staff and faculty in the university setting.

I have taught the following courses at the University of Toronto, in the department of Sociology: Cultural Sociology, Women and Work, Canadian Foodways, Critical Obesity Studies, Sociology of Health and Illness, Women and Work, and Gender and Care.

I am the former Research Operations and Organizational Learning lead at the University of Toronto's Innovation Hub, a project that uses a human-centered design approach to improve the student experience.

I hold a Leadership Essentials certificate from the University of Toronto and design-thinking facilitation certification from Acumen+/IDEO. Using my leadership, teaching and Sociology background, I work as a consultant teaching leadership through community-engagement using a design-thinking method.
