Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can I contact Mrs. Dye after school hours? I can be reached by email all hours of the day at alexandr.mckemie@smail.astate.edu. This is also listed in the "Home" tab.

2. What time does my student eat lunch? My 2nd grade class goes to lunch at 11:30am and gets back to class at 1:00pm. You can also see what your student is eating for breakfast and lunch in the "Menus" tab.

3. What time does school start and end? School starts for all elementary students at 8:00am and lets out at 3:00pm. You can find all school information in the "School" tab.

4. How will I know if my student has homework due? I will send out a reminder for parents via email when there is homework due. I have also included course content for the entire year as well as homework assignments in the "Homework" tab.

5. How do I receive reminders via email from Mrs. Dye? You can send me an email at alexandr.mckemie@smail.astate.edu. Just let me know you would like to receive reminders/updates and I will add you to the list.

6. How do I know if my student has field trips or activities coming up? I update the Announcements newsletter daily and it includes all activities that the students have coming up. This newsletter can be found in the "Announcements" tab.

7. Can I check on my student's progress in class at anytime in the school year? Yes! You can send me an email at alexandr.mckemie@smail.astate.edu anytime during the school year to set up an in-person or virtual meeting.

8. How do I set up an Acceptable Use Policy at home for my student? I have included a parent AUP template in the "AUP" and "Parent" tabs. You can also find the classroom AUP there.

9. Can I pick my student up early or drop them off late? Yes, you can come up to the school office at anytime to pick up or drop off your student. The front desk will lead you to the correct classroom.

10. I want to read more with my student, but where do I start? I have included a list of some of my favorite children's books in the "Student" tab under "Recommended Children's Literature".
