Alex Ensing earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University (Lee Honors College) in multimedia arts technology. Ensing has performed at various churches, the Kalamazoo Concert Band, and the WMU (Concert, Jazz Lab, Marching, and Pep) bands. While at WMU, Ensing attended the 2018 NAMM show as a President's Innovation Award Winner, and he arranged and produced a big band album with Vicksburg High School through Western Sound Studios. Ensing has played in over 20 pit orchestras since 2013. Ensing acquired teaching experience through his time as a section leader in the Bronco Marching Band, and as a marching band camp instructor at Berrien Springs, Battle Creek Lakeview, Jackson Northwest, and Cedar Springs high schools. Ensing is also the technical (music) director for Vicksburg United Methodist Church. Ensing began teaching though Marshall Music in January of 2018
