Alex Ensing earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in multimedia arts technology while performing with the Concert, Jazz Lab, and Athletic bands. While at WMU, Ensing attended the 2018 NAMM show as a President's Innovation Award scholarship winner. Ensing has performed with the Kalamazoo Concert band, many community musicals, and equity productions at Tibbits Opera House: Sweeney Todd, Rent, Little Shop of Horrors, Putnam County Spelling Bee, Marvelous Wonderettes, Dear Evan Hansen, Rock of Ages. Ensing acquired teaching experience through his time as a section leader in the Bronco Marching Band, and as a marching band camp instructor at Berrien Springs, Jackson Northwest, and Cedar Springs high schools. In addition to teaching at Marshall Music, Ensing also works as the music and technology director for Vicksburg United Methodist Church.
