You will be using Google Sites to track your progress throughout the NEA. Think of this as a blog to keep all of your documents together. It is not the website element of the NEA (this is done on a platform called WIX).
Right-click, and then click more.
Select 'Google Site'.
Choose a theme from the right-hand side; the design of this site will not be marked. Alternativley, make your own theme by clicking custom.

Begin planning your initial ideas. Expand upon some ideas and think about how your research can complement the realisation of this idea. You should map at least 5 ideas.
Develop two ideas (from your initial ideas) further.
Present this in your planning page of your google site, labelled as Development of ideas.
Experimenting with camera shots, framing or lighting
Creating a mood board or visual storyboard
Editing short clips to try out different styles or transitions
Write a short ‘diary-style’ entry for each idea, reflecting on your process.
Comment on what works well, what you might change, and which idea you prefer so far.
This step is very important – it helps demonstrate your creative thinking and development to the examiner.
Create a Pintrest board of the kind of footage you'd like to capture in the production stage of your music video.
Make the board public and copy the link onto your google site, labelled as Planning shots for the music video.
Other possible tasks you could do to plan your music video
creating various sketches of logo for the artist or experimenting with fonts for the artist name and song title
planning key locations for each concept
writing the story for a music video and making sure it follows Freud's 3-Act structure.
Create a storyboard for one of your music video ideas.
This should show how you would visualise part of your video, including:
Camera angles and shot types
Movement (of camera or subject)
Lighting and colour
Mise-en-scène (location, costume, props, etc.)
Brief description of action in each frame
Include the timing of each shot to help show pacing
You can draw it by hand, use digital tools (e.g. Canva, Storyboard That), or use photos if preferred.
Make sure it’s clearly presented and uploaded to the Planning page of your Google Site, labelled Storyboard.
This task helps show your visual planning and understanding of how your music video will flow.
The Statement of Intent is an important document because it explains your creative ideas clearly to the moderator.
It is a vital authentication document that shows your understanding and planning. It must be written before any production work begins.
Although the statement does not carry any marks, failure to submit one will result in a 10 mark penalty. Take time to plan it carefully and ensure it reflects your intentions for your media production.
How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 2 x 400 words - one for music video and one for website)

Write about how these representations will attract your audience.
Write about how your ideas fit within the overarching genre specified by the brief. Eg. Are you going to address mental health issues in the lifestyle magazine brief?
