Begin planning your initial ideas. Expand upon some ideas and think about how your research can complement the realisation of this idea. You should map at least 5 ideas.
Develop two ideas (from your initial ideas) further.
Present this in your planning page of your google site, labelled as Development of ideas.
This could be by experimenting with some shots or by playing around on photoshop with fonts.
Write a short ‘diary style’ entry giving your thoughts and evaluating each idea. This is really important as it shows the examiner your thought process.
Create a Pintrest board of the kind of images you'd like to capture in the production stage of your magazine.
Here is my example: https://uk.pinterest.com/dsoltysik0958/june-2026-style-mag-brief/?invite_code=bef49bc1f61045638bc2887445d8354f&sender=1087619516168680125
Make the board public and copy the link onto your google site, labelled as Planning photography for the magazine.
You will need to create a account, using your school google account.
You may wish to copy a screenshot of the board onto your google site.
Using Canva or Photoshop, select an existing 'style' magazine and recreate it.
Try to match the fonts used, take a photograph in a similar style, and follow the original layout as closely as possible.
The Statement of Intent is an important document because it explains your creative ideas clearly to the moderator.
It is a vital authentication document that shows your understanding and planning. It must be written before any production work begins.
Although the statement does not carry any marks, failure to submit one will result in a 10 mark penalty. Take time to plan it carefully and ensure it reflects your intentions for your media production.
