I am a metricist interested in exploring the connection between linguistic structure and poetic form, starting from a simple question: what are ternary metrical feet? Are they marginal, or structurally more complex? And how do they relate to linguistic structures?
In 2024, I began my PhD at the University for Foreigners of Siena, where my research investigates the presence, phonological structure, and aesthetic perception of ternary metrical feet in Italian poetry - particularly the anapest - combining formal analysis with experimental methods.
My research interests lie at the interface between metrical form and linguistic structure, integrating phonetics and phonology, empirical aesthetics and generative theories of poetic meter.
