Hello and welcome to my website!
I am Associate Professor of Applied Economics at the GSSI Social Sciences and Fellow at IZA@LISER and CEIS Tor Vergata.
My research focuses on environmental and development economics, especially on environmental externalities and the role of public policy in mitigating them. I study their effects on labor markets, human capital, and health using causal inference methods and administrative data.
I serve in the Editorial Board of the European Review of Agricultural Economics.
Before joining the GSSI, I held positions as a postdoctoral researcher at Tor Vergata University and Bocconi University, and as a visiting researcher at the Basque Center for Climate Change, CEMI-EPFL, and the UC San Diego Dept. of Economics.
I earned an MSc and a PhD in Environmental and Development Economics from Roma Tre University.
I actively collaborate with independent and intergovernmental research institutions, including FAO of the United Nations, World Bank, and Bank of Italy.
During my leisure time, I engage in ice and rock climbing and serve as a climbing instructor at the Paolo Consiglio Climbing School affiliated with the Italian Alpine Club. Landscape photography is my second hobby.
Enjoy my research works and pictures.
