Conferences and seminars

Participating in conferences, seminars and workshops has consistently been a great source of inspiration for my research and an amazing opportunity to expand my professional networking. You can find a list of research and colloquium talks I gave throughout the years at this link and a list of recent workshops I have attended at the bottom of this page

Here is a list of seminars and conferences I have co-organized, giving my personal contribution towards building a commutative algebra community and fostering interdisciplinary connections with researchers from different areas of mathematics.

Seminars organized

OSU Combinatorial and Commutative Algebra Seminar

In Spring 2024, I am co-organizing the  Combinatorial and Commutative Algebra Seminar at Oklahoma State University. The seminar features a combination of research talks and expository talks for graduate students, with both internal and invited speakers.

CARES (2021-2022)

Together with postdocs and graduate students from other institutions, I co-organized the Commutative Algebra Regional Expository Seminar (CARES). This virtual seminar  brings together graduate students working in commutative algebra and focuses on surveying classical results underlying current research in the field.

UCR Commutative Algebra Seminar (Winter 2020 - Spring 2021)

In Winter 2020, I started the Commutative Algebra Seminar at UC Riverside.  Through a series of colloquium-style talks, the seminar introduced graduate students to classic problems and current research in commutative algebra.  The seminar continued in virtual format during the academic year 2020-2021,  co-organized together with Eloisa GrifoThe talks were delivered in a survey format, highlighting the interconnection of commutative algebra with other fields of mathematics.  A full list of talks is available on the seminar webpage

Notes from selected expository talks for graduate students

Conferences organized

AMS Special Sessions

eCARs

In the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic,  together with Kyle Maddox and Takumi Murayama I co-organized eCARs (Early Commutative Algebra Researchers), a virtual conference that took place on June 27-28, 2020.  The conference aimed to highlight recent research in commutative algebra and to create professional networking among emerging researchers in the field.  The speakers were all US-based, but we had several international participants.
