I am currently a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the math department at UW-Madison. My advisor is Andy Zimmer. My un-official co-advisor is Sebastian Hurtado-Salazar of Yale University. Before coming to Madison, I was an undergrad at the University of Chicago. Here is a copy of my CV.
This Fall 2025, I am on the academic job market for postdoc positions starting in Fall 2026.
For the Spring 2026 semester, I will be a Program Associate at the SLMath semester program "Geometry and Dynamics for Discrete Subgroups of Higher Rank Lie Groups," funded by a SLMath Doctoral Fellowship.
Papers:
2. Asymptotically large free semigroups in Zariski dense discrete subgroups of Lie groups (preprint, 36 pages).
1. Free semigroups of large critical exponent (submitted, 40 pages).
Mathematical Interests:
My mathematical interests are in geometry and dynamics, particularly discrete subgroups of higher rank Lie groups. Recently, I have been especially interested in understanding asymptotic properties of discrete subgroups of Lie groups. I am also interested in Patterson--Sullivan theory, rigidity theory, and random walks on Lie groups.
