Here are some of the projects I have been involved during my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Analysis and result comparison of a post buckling structural beam by a non-lineal MSC NASTRAN calculus and empirical lineal Euler method computed in MATLAB.
Analysis of Kelvin's generator system, parameters involved and discrete approach for problem solving. Optimization of induction ring position as well a jet radii for maximum performance. CAD design model with 3D printing
CubeSat mission design with requirements, constraints, objectives to reach a Near Earth Asteroid, make an impact and analyze its morphology and structure. An orbital analysis is performed and study to decide which components will the mission require like propulsion system, solar array, hyperspectral imager, impactor and CubeSat structure.
Tool manufacturing analysis and design for a specific component to optimize the final process. Primary design, component configuration and economic study were performed to conclude with the optimal positioning and manufacturing process for maximum cost reduction.
Analysis and model comparison of an airfoil designed with panels using the software Nastran and analytical model implemented in MATLAB. Study for the different damping modes and simulation of the system when a sine force is applied.
Engine's performance comparison based on the plunger stroke and cylinder diameter for different rotation regimes. The pair of values for plunger stroke and cylinder diameter have been chosen to kept a total engine displacement of 575 cc.
Analysis and application of different non destructive techniques for various components in order to determine their quality, any surface or inner defects as well as measure material properties and widths
Analysis of the kinematics and dynamics of a combustion engine through a MATLAB code that will give valuable data in the gear crank mechanism, works, forces and momentums present in the system.
The goal of this project is to optimize the wing plant form and structural design of a single engine aircraft to maximize range and minimize time and material cost. It will be considered incompressible regime and low subsonic.
This project aims to be an introduction and overview to the Ansys Fluent software and CFD with a case study of an ogive that is moving at a speed of 30 m/s.
Analysis and modeling of an HEV car from EPA's drive cycle test data to obtain final efficiencies and performance of the different systems involves in an HEV vehicle.
The goal of this project is to apply theoretical analysis to different NACA airfoils of 4 and 5 digits. The study was performed through various softwares like MATLAB and Xfoil applying a panel method with the objective of understanding the influence of different parameters such as lift and momentum coefficients and polar curve when different variables were modified like angle of attack, curve, thickness and others.
Analysis and study of hybrid model bus for optimal performance and fuel consumption reduction based on real data. Drive cycle data extraction, data filtering, engine map, model, design and performance analysis.
