Hello, I'm Alejandro Arias, I'm a Mechanical & Aerospace Engineer living in Chicago.
I'm finishing my double Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MMAE) obtained from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). I started my Master's education back in Spain, specialized in propulsion systems that involved material science, structural analysis and classical and fluid mechanics. After the completion of the first year I decided to continue my education here in Chicago and prepare myself to grow in a different environment that I was used to.
Prior to my Master's education I received my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, also specialized in propulsion systems. During these years I developed not only skills related to propulsion analysis but a lot of different fields such as electric and electronic systems, aerospace manufacturing, mechanical design, and optimization & control among others. These years allowed me to feel comfortable in various engineering environments and taught me how to learn and succeed along different fields.
I have also worked on myself to have a background in software engineering, learning Python, MATLAB, SQL and other software that interested me. I'm very self-motivated to learn new things and contribute everywhere I go with all I know. I like to keep a good communication among my teammates and during all these years I found that creating a good work environment is a key aspect of project success and makes the whole group work in an extraordinary way.
