I have been working in the field of education for six accumulative years. I began substituting in the elementary grades in Socorro Consolidated Schools during the 2011-2012 school year. After moving to Taos, NM in 2015, I restarted my education path at UNM Taos, earning my degree in Elementary Education. At this time, I began working at the UNM Taos Kids' Campus as a work-study employee. For three and a half years I maintained the position of Educational Assistant in the Toddler and Pre-K classrooms. I resigned from this position in December 2019 to complete my full-time student teaching in Taos Charter School's Kindergarten class. I have worked with students 18-months up to fifth-grade, and pride myself in establishing continuous bonds with children and families, and providing an educational curriculum culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate for our societies youngest citizens.
