Welcome!

My name is Aldana Grichener  and I am a PhD student at the Technion in the theoretical astrophysics group of Prof. Noam Soker. My PhD's main focus is the connection between massive binary stars and high energy astrophysical phenomena. I have worked on a broad range of topics, including but not restricted to heavy elements formation, peculiar transients, feedback mechanisms in stellar outflows, common envelope evolution, high energy neutrinos emission and morphologies of supernova remnants. At the moment, I am particularly interested in the common envelope evolution phase of compact objects with giant stars, which I explore using various analytical and computational tools.

I began my academic journey at the Technion in the fall of 2015, where I have been doing research since the second semester of my undergraduate studies. I have published eight papers in prestigious astrophysical journals as first author, one of them as single author (see my full publication list).
