Welcome!

My name is Aldana Grichener  and I am a PhD student at the Technion in the theoretical astrophysics group of Prof. Noam Soker. My PhD's main focus is the connection between massive binary stars and high energy astrophysical phenomena. I have worked on a broad range of topics, including but not restricted to  peculiar transients, feedback mechanisms in stellar outflows, common envelope evolution and morphologies of supernova remnants. At the moment, I am particularly interested in the common envelope evolution phase of compact objects with giant stars, which I explore using various analytical and computational tools.

I began my academic journey at the Technion in the fall of 2015, where I have been doing research since the second semester of my undergraduate studies. I have published eight papers in prestigious astrophysical journals as first author, one of them as single author (see my full publication list).
