Studio Guitar Recording
Electric Guitar Recording
Alchemy Studios is known for huge guitar sounds. Usually the guitar goes through a DI to make re-amping possible if needed. Often the guitar signal is split send one signal to an amplifier in the guitar room and another to an 11 rack procsessor for 3 tracks total per take. Sometimes the solution is to double mic the amp speaker using a dark mic / bright mic strategy. Alchemy Studios has some excellent guitar mic choices including the Royer 121.
Acoustic Guitar Recording
We haven't forgotten the acoustic instruments! The vocal room is a wonderful environment to record acoustic instruments including guitars. Often a multiple mic setup is desired to accurately capture the full sound of your instrument. For more details, hit the link and check out our acoustic recording page.
