OUR PILLARS
OUR PILLARS
The fundamental musical pillars of the Alcance Tendencia Radio concept are without a doubt, the groups Lacrimosa and Therion, to whom, by the way, we have dedicated a large number of broadcasts to date.
Along with these two musical pillars that nourish the concept of Alcance Tendencia Radio, we also have to mention other artists who have been the subject of numerous broadcasts and who also have artistic greatness in what they do. Clear examples are: Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Lost, System of a Down, Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows, Rammstein, Ghost, Bad Omens, Nightwish, Matt Elliot or even the great precursors of classical music.
Lacrimosa, first of all, is, for the undersigned, the largest musical artistic project that exists today. Established in independence, the duo made up of Tilo Wolff and Anne Nurmi have managed to establish themselves as the greatest exponents of the “Gothic Metal (coined by themselves)” genre, without having to sell their will to producers or record companies. With more than 33 years of career, Lacrimosa offers us a humanistic and personal vision of self-knowledge and the most sincere emotional connection, all encompassed in music, art, and lifestyle. One can feel identified with any topic in their catalog, since they do not usually talk about things outside of daily human activity, and when they do, they offer a social opinion focused on the changes that we can create based on ourselves in order to have a general impact.
Furthermore, Lacrimosa's way of working is a perennial source of inspiration when creating art. They have managed to break paradigms around the production of works that many other artists, for fear of professional failure, have left aside.
Therion, on the other hand, has a history not so far removed from that of the aforementioned band, since the likeable Christofer Johnsson has managed to elevate a powerful musical machine that has survived constant changes in members, fashions and styles. Although they are no strangers to independence, Therion has managed to remain firm on issues of artistic freedom despite remaining a band signed to major labels such as Nuclear Blast, and, now, Napalm Records.
Therion's concept is to give a musical dimension to esoteric and mythological themes, taking its audience on a path not only of art and entertainment, but also of culture. One of the great virtues of this group is the compositional grandeur to provide its songs with the best possible elements. The so-called “Fathers of Symphonic Metal” have managed to be masters of compositions that cannot be simplified as “metal with touches of classical music”, but rather their works are conceived from both worlds. Neither metal nor classical music feed off each other, but rather they are created from the beginning as a two-headed entity. For this reason, they have remained current for almost 35 years of career, touring worldwide and navigating within different musical styles, never abandoning their particular essence.
