Alberto Mola Economic PhD Candidate KU Leuven University
I'm a PhD candidate in Economics at KU Leuven, I am part of the Industrial Organization Group and I work with Prof. Jan De Loecker. My current research sits at the intersection of Empirical Industrial Organization, Environmental Economics, and International Trade. In my job market paper, I study how new trade opportunities affected decarbonization of German manufacturing firms.
Before starting my PhD, I completed a Master of Research in Economics at CEMFI in Madrid and a Master of Science in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi University, where I graduated cum laude. Over the years, I've worked with the European Central Bank, the European Commission, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Most recently, I’ve been a visiting researcher at DIW Berlin.
