Other info

I was born in Plasencia, a small city in the region of Extremadura, in Spain. Plasencia is surrounded by three valleys, one of them being "Valle del Jerte", known for its cherries and the blossom of the cherry trees in spring. Also close to Plasencia is the National Park of Monfragüe, perfect for hiking and observing birds and deers.

As an undergraduate, I studied Mathematics at the University of Salamanca (Spain). After that, I did my Master in Mathematics at the KU Leuven (Belgium). My Thesis was about Toric Geometry and Mirror Symmetry, under the supervision of Prof. Johannes Nicaise. I started my PhD at The University of Sheffield on September 2020, supervised by Dr Cristina Manolache.

Outside of academia, I spend most of my free time doing sports, such as running, cycling or bouldering. I also enjoy reading. playing videogames and learning languages. I can speak fluently in Spanish, English and French, and also a bit in Italian.
