Angie S. Williams is employed with Aspire Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Services. Starting my journey in mental health/behavioral health in 2009, I can say that this career choice chose me. Today I can passionately say that serving our community with 12 years of experience has been life changing for me and the families that are served. Angie S. Williams is a certified trainer in QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) suicide prevention and Youth Mental Health First Aid. These curriculums work hand and hand in bringing awareness to our communities as it concerns mental health and behavioral health. She has conducted numerous workshops and presentations in our communities with educators, law enforcement, ministries, and other child serving agencies to educate individuals on how to deal with youth who may be in crisis. She serves as the System of Care Coordinator for Aspire Behavioral Health promoting coordination between agencies, ensuring that the interests and rights of the individuals served are being addressed, and identifying service gaps and breakdowns in coordination or communication between agencies. Angie S. Williams is a Certified Peer Specialist Parent who works diligently with individuals and families who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis.
Angie S. Williams enjoys practicing Self-Care because at the end of the day how can we as helping professionals, caregivers, parents, or whatever role we identify with, “Pour from and empty cup”. It is during this time when I tell My Tough To Keep On Going!!!!!!
