Albany-based organization whose mission is to eliminate the inequities in birth outcomes for all childbearing people and to ensure that all birthing families receive respectful and supportive maternity and infant care. BirthNet advocates for mothers by raising awareness and promoting education regarding the maternal health crisis in Albany. BirthNet also supports and organizes events and workshops to educate and empower local mothers. In September 2019, BirthNet piloted a Full Spectrum Doula Training with Ancient Song Doula Services, where 22 women of color completed a four-day program to begin training to become doulas in Albany.
