Next-Level Care

We’ve thought of your travels—from booking to boarding, and beyond, especially making them safe—and implemented nearly 100 ways to keep you safe and secure every time you fly with us. We've followed the University of Washington, giving us intel on the COVID-19 pandemic. Next-Level Care is our commitment to keeping you healthy and safe.

All of these actions together offer guests layers of protection that make a difference. In our most recent post-flight survey of guests, 82% shared that they had a safe and healthy environment and 95% said their seat area was clean. We are also offering 24 hour cancellations do to COVID-19.

  1. Use the Alaska Mobile App, where you can check-in for your flight, check the flight status and generate a mobile boarding pass with no contact. A 72 hour negative COVID-19 test is also needed in order to join the flight, and a mask onboard agreement.

  2. We require ALL guests to wear a mask, where Alaska conducts business, with the exception of children under 2. If a mask is not worn, the passenger will not be allowed to fly on an Alaska flight.

  3. Our planes are equipped with Grade 2 HEPA filters that remove and kill 99.95% of airborne particles. Our air filtration system cycles outside air on board every 3 minutes. Make sure to open your seat air vent, to start the flow of HEPA filters. Our cleaning team uses high-grade EPA disinfectant and electrostatic sprayers to clean critical areas of the plane, and handcleaning the aircraft after use.

  4. We’re limiting the number of guests on our flights and blocking select seats. Families or large groups may request to sit together, and blocking middle seats with 6 feet of distance at airports.

  5. We have removed all seatback contents, except for the safety card, to limit the spread of germs, and unfortunately we request that you pack your own snacks during the flight.
