About me:
CV / Full list of publications
I am a development economist, with a dual appointment as Senior Quantitative Researcher for the Young Lives Study at the Oxford Department of International Development (University of Oxford), and Investigador Principal at Grupo de Análisis para el Desarrollo (Lima, Peru). I was the PrincipaI Investigator of the Young Lives Study in Peru, known as the Niños del Milenio cohort study from 2012 to 2024, with a career break from 2018 to early 2020. I am currently based in London.
I hold a Dphi in Economics and an MSs in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
My research is focused on (i) studying the causes and consequences of investments in human capital over the life course in low- and middle-income countries, and (ii) the impact of public policies on human development, in particular their remedial role for children who grew up in poverty or were affected by shocks. I am actively working with the Min of Education in Peru on measuring the impact of a growth-mindset intervention among primary school students.
