These classes teach everything you need to know, from the role of first responders to some of the standard equipment and techniques you will need as a first responder. They go into depth on the procedure for CPR on children and infants, the treatments needed for common injuries and the effects of acute illnesses, and general first aid treatments.
To obtain your certificate you must complete the theoretical and practical sessions. Schedules available from Monday to Friday. Valid certification accredited for 2 years by the American Red Cross.

FIRST AID
First aid is a set of actions taken to help someone in a medical emergency. The goal is to preserve life, prevent the situation from worsening, or help the person recover until medical assistance arrives.
CPR
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Keeping the blood flow active, even partially extends the opportunity for a successful resuscitation once trained medical staff arrive on site.
AED
An automated external defibrillator, is a medical device designed to analyze the heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to victims of ventricular fibrillation to restore the heart rhythm to normal.
TOURNIQUET
A device, such as a strip of cloth or a band of rubber, that is wrapped tightly around a leg or an arm to prevent the flow of blood to the leg or the arm for a period of time. A tourniquet may be used when drawing blood or to stop bleeding after an injury.
