The Black Stockings began Saturday's games at Silver Ball with a win over the Victory / Live Oak team by a score of 28-15.
After a successful start to yesterday's games, the Black Stockings ended the weekend 2-2, losing to the hard-hitting Flower City team 35-3, and then losing a close game to the Rochesters BBC 22-21 with the last out made tagging out the tying run at 3rd base.
We look forward to our return next year for another chance to compete for the championship!

After a VERY HOT day and long match (2.5 hours!), the Black Stockings finally took home the 3rd annual Green Shake Cup after 10 innings by a score of 11-10 Thank you Canal Dover Redlegs for hosting us and being part of raising $297 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio!

After another successful Akron Cup, the Canton Cornshuckers club from Canton, MI, are repeat champions. After a hard fought match with them, the Cornshuckers edged out the Black Stockings to win by a score of 7 to 5.
Thank you to all the teams that played this weekend, and again a massive thank you to Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens for hosting us and allowing this tournament to be played!

Another year, another Ohio Cup in the books for Akron! We were proud to be part of the 30th Ohio Cup and would like to thank the The Ohio Village Muffins for hosting and inviting us year after year!
The Black Stockings had a great day yesterday ending all 3 matches with marks in the win column, beating the Indianapolis Blues 5-4, the Bluegrass Barons 7-4, and then the Ohio Village Muffins V squad 9-6.
