Acousto-Bioelectronics Lab
At Acousto Bioelectronics Lab, a highly collaborative Research Lab located at the University of South Florida, we are interested in a range of biomedical applications of MEMS (BioMEMS) and nanotechnology. This includes a variety of devices and microsystems to address important clinical problems. Our group collaborates closely with physicians in order to transfer the technology to the clinic. 2024
8/1/2024: Dr. Kim is tenured and promoted to Associate Professor at University of South Florida
5/1/2024: Drs. Kim and Yang have received the Florida Cancer Innovation Award. We thank the Florida Department of Health for supporting our research. We are excited to develop a cisplatin-generating microdevice for glioblastoma treatment.

8/4/2021: Dr. Kim and Dr. Krishina Kant have received a new grant from the NSF CISE program. We thank the NSF for supporting our research. We are excited to investigate a reconfigurable intrabody network for medical devices.
7/2021: Our Smart Dental Implant project (with Dr. Hwang at UPenn) has been selected as a finalist for the 14th round of the Science Center research accelerator (QED Proof-of-Concept program). Congratulations!
