About Me

My name is Akilah Williams. In May of 2026, I will have a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Digital Media from Longwood University. My studies have shaped me into a media professional who is passionate about storytelling, audience engagement, and the creative process behind digital production.

I’ve gained hands-on experience through an internship with WTVR-TV CBS 6, where I contributed to news packages, assisted with scriptwriting, and captured B-roll footage for broadcasts. My on-campus roles in lighting and audio operations at the Joan Perry Brock Center have strengthened my technical and teamwork skills in fast-paced environments. I’m also skilled in video editing, AP-style writing, and multimedia production. These are tools I use to bring ideas to life and connect people through meaningful content.
