In this course, I learned the fundamentals of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a scientific method for calculating the environmental impact of a product or service. I explored the four essential phases of the internationally recognized ISO 14040/14044 framework: Goal and Scope, Life Cycle Inventory, Life Cycle Impact Assessment, and Interpretation. I now understand how to apply LCA principles to key business functions like ecodesign, improving supply chain sustainability, and making credible environmental claims to prevent greenwashing. Through this course, I have gained the skills to analyze LCA results, identify major environmental "hotspots" using contribution analysis, and draw conclusions that support science-based, sustainable decision-making.
The Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Mechanism e-learning module familiarises market intermediaries and participants with the grievance redressal process in the Indian securities markets. SEBI has introduced this mechanism to enable online conciliation and arbitration for dispute resolution. The SMART ODR portal offers a user-friendly platform for filing complaints and resolving disputes.
I have the opportunity to learn about these critical research aspects, enhancing my understanding and skills in conducting ethical and plagiarism-free research. This course is a valuable resource for my academic research involvement. It covered various topics, including research ethics, plagiarism, citation, etc.
I have learned to quickly use a large language model (LLM) to build new and powerful applications using the OpenAI ChatGPT. I understood how LLMs work, the best practices for prompt engineering, and how to use LLM in applications for tasks such as summarising, inferring, transforming text, and expanding. I also learnt two critical principles for writing effective prompts: how to engineer good prompts systematically. This course provided numerous examples and hands-on experience with prompt engineering.
I have refined my Microsoft Excel skills, mastered vital business analytics concepts, and honed my data-driven decision-making abilities. I can confidently apply business analytics techniques to real-world scenarios, enhancing my projects and research work.
I will be able to understand what user experience (UX) is, why it’s essential, and the impact it can have on businesses. I can identify the critical approach, attitude, and process elements necessary for UX design and describe the ‘design’, ‘develop’, and ‘release’ stages of the UX process. I understood information architecture concepts, the importance of sound structure for usability, and the reasons for creating prototypes. Furthermore, I can explain the how and why of drawing wireframes, the importance of detail, and the benefits of interactive prototypes.
I learnt about the drivers of capital flows in crisis and non-crisis periods and the role of the global financial cycle. I have a deeper understanding of recent developments in economic globalisation, including the discrepancy between theoretical benefits and empirical observations. I also gained insights into the factors driving capital flows and the role of the global financial cycle.
This course provided me with a comprehensive examination of investment in renewable energy and the policies surrounding it. Now, I have a better understanding of renewable energy investment trends. I can also examine fiscal and financial policy instruments for promoting private investment in renewable energy and explore both public and private sources of renewable energy financing. This knowledge might help me to make informed decisions and strategies in the field of renewable energy investments.
I comprehensively understood digital transformation, including blockchain, IoT, technology integration, AI, and machine learning. I also acquired skills applicable to various fields, such as business analysis, IT project management, and digital marketing. The course offered practical experience streamlining software development and delivery using AI techniques and project management frameworks.
The course equips volunteers and community workers in community service with a comprehensive understanding of management at various levels. It addresses the capacity-building needs of the vast voluntary sector, including NGOs, by providing formal education and training, enhancing my ability to tackle developmental challenges.
