Research

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Interaction with practitioners in health care during my Doctoral studies at the University of Alabama and my practical experience in the Turkish Armed Forces have given me exposure to many real-world problems, particularly in service industries. Using this motivation, my works incorporate various elements of risk and uncertainty affecting various trade-offs in the decision making process of healthcare operations management. As an applied researcher, I strive to develop solution methodologies generalizable to domains more broad than the specific problems considered. I am very passionate about my work and ultimately seek to address problems that are relevant in practice, using methods accessible to practitioners.
